Review of Saraband (2003) by Scott K — 10 Jun 2007

I had read that this was one of Bergman's worst films prior to seeing this and I thought that review would influence me into disliking this movie. I immediately fell in love with it when I watched it, though.

I don't care that it's about a small amount of characters or that it's in a foreign language. Eventually it felt as though I didn't have to read the subtitles because I could really feel the dialogue pushing the emotion of each character and that was enough.

It's a beautiful movie and it has just enough odd moments for me to still find it interesting.
