OK - I own this. I'll probably watch it again...hell, I watch the Christmas Story every year. I dug the folklore, which was convincing enough to make me believe in it's possibility. Also - a freaking buffalo is pulling Santa's slay, how cool is that? But really, the movie itself was smart and campy and cheesy and gorey with the pre-requesite creative deaths you would want from a movie entitled, "Santa's Slay.
