Sanctum was a decent movie but it did nothing special to set itself apart. I have seen a lot of other cave and adventure type movies and they are all very similar. Sanctum had a lot of moments that made me cringe and a lot of people died which was very upsetting.
The visuals were amazing especially on Blue Ray and I bet it was even better in the theaters on the big screen. It was neat to see the relationship build between the father and son throughout the film and the ending turned out to be ok at best.
If you have seen Descent, or The Cave this movie is pretty similar only without any monsters. I enjoyed it but I can see a lot of people getting bored with it half way through.
