Review of San Andreas (2015) by Dee W — 01 Nov 2015
I enjoyed this film. There wasn't many scenes that required actual acting, but the movie kept me interested throughout and made sure they reminded us just how tremendous the danger was in between showing us.
One key component to making a disaster movie is the threat being real, and in terms of earthquakes, the San Andreas fault line provides a major battleground for man vs nature. It was a quality film in which I truly felt immersed in all the action and drama and even though there was a love story involved, it wasn't unbelievable scenes where love seems to conquer all.
Although parts of the finale was a bit over the top with Johnson, it didn't ruin the movie for me at all.
