Yet another Kobayashi epic on the level of anything Kurosawa made, Mifune delivers an intense performance in this tragic and beautiful epic. Toshiro Mifune and Tatsuya Nakadai deliver as always, two of the most intense and brilliant actors in Japanese cinema.
