Review of Samson and Delilah (2009) by Duncan S — 30 May 2010
Inexplicably garnering five star reviews this is one depressing, slow watch. Two Aboriginal teens go walkabout after tragic events occur in their makeshift village. The plot devices that send them on their way make no sense whatsoever, and the love story is unconvincing, as at no time do we we actually feel that Delilah even likes Samson that much.
Maybe critics were won over by the stunning landscapes and cinematography.
