Review of Samsara (2011) by Alan C — 25 Aug 2012
A beautiful, fascinating portrait of our world. Doesn't really cover any new ground that hasn't already been visited by these filmmakers previously in Baraka, but provides some truly riveting new imagery - some of the most stunning ever committed to 70mm film.
The thematic connections between the images are sometimes a little heavy handed, but the shots themselves and the people and events they portray are just too stunning not to be completely swept away by.
