Review of Samsara (2011) by Brenda C — 14 Sep 2012
The long-awaited follow-up to Baraka is equally gorgeous. This odyssey of imagery and sound is stunningly beautiful. It spends a great deal of time with nature and spirituality. Fricke has tread on similar ground before so some viewers may find it a bit too familiar.
It's not as good as Baraka or Koyaanisqatsi but it's a journey still well worth taking. The mosque in Saudi Arabia is particularly awe-inspiring.
