I have watched Baraka countless times so it was always going to be tough for this to live up to my expectations that it should, by virtue of being made at all, be better.
On first viewing I wasn't sure. There are many similar shots and scenes and themes... not sufficiently different? On further thought and reflection it has grown on me. Fricke is clearly a masterful artist.
Essential viewing for all.
