Review of Samsara (2011) by Ryan K — 11 Sep 2013
Through stunningly beautiful photography, sound and music, without narration or dialogue, we bear witness to Samsara, the human concept of birth, (suffering), death, rebirth, or simply, "the ever turning wheel of life," on a global scale.
The juxtaposition of images - cultures, actions, art, religion, spirituality, technology, architecture, etc. - both ancient and modern - embedded in their natural and unnatural environments - takes us on a breathtaking, and often heartbreaking, emotional and meditative journey.
Undoubtedly, the experience and interpretation will be unique for each individual.
