Review of Same Kind of Different as Me (2017) by Mark P — 23 Oct 2017
I liked this far more than expected. It actually deals with several social issues without being overpowering. The pace is slow, but you get to know the characters more that way. Having done Mission work and involved with a shelter, I felt like I was there with these characters.
Some fantastic acting very worthy of awards. Djimon Hounsou is incredible, sometimes conveying his thoughts just with his look, then when he speaks, it is poignant. Highly recommended, this is about real life, a good life!
