Review of Same Kind of Different as Me (2017) by Cindy M — 23 Oct 2017
Heartfelt and inspiring ... Same Kind of Different as Me demonstrates the power of seeing others as God sees them and loving others as God loves them. Debbie Hall is a super hero who is strong enough to lay down her own feelings and pride, as a betrayed wife and scorned volunteer, and love those around her with God's relentless love.
Many critics don't understand or believe that pure, sacrificial love can save marriages, reconcile racial animosities, transform an individual or a city. It does. This movie honors that fact and challenges its audience to lay down our predjudices, our hurts and our pride, and pick up Debbie's mantle to love those whom God puts in our lives every day.
It's well acted and convincing to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.
