Review of Same Kind of Different as Me (2017) by Rick D — 21 Oct 2017
Great movie. I see the critics hit this one pretty hard. In all honesty, if the critics DON'T like it I know it's good. Unless it's wierd, told in a strange way or new concept they don't like it, and that's with normal movies. If it's a Christian film forget about it. I always value an audience review over a pretentious critic anyway. Thank you to those who previously posted.
This movie, although Christian themed isn't throwing it in any body's face or trying to convince anybody of anything. I think it would appeal to a wide range of folks, Christian or not. What it does do is highlight people aren't perfect and imperfect people can do incredibly perfect things sometimes.
It's a warm and touching movie that will be emotional at times. It's and example of how others should treat each other and encourages me in ways I could be a better person. It has a strong value set and I found the experience of this movie very rewarding.
