Review of Samba (2014) by Brigitte G — 10 Apr 2015
In the first half this is a nice and typically understated French film. Then it goes off the rails completely with an incoherent plot and awkward set pieces. Never felt the rapport between the two central characters was very strong either, which is sort of important for a rom-com.
The positive is the insight into life as an illegal immigrant in modern France.
