Review of Salvage (2006) by Jacob G — 03 May 2010
If this was done with higher production values, this would be a solid 5. The script is simply stunning. So many good ideas. The acting is fairly mediocre... as expected. The camera work is also fairly mediocre, though again, it is expected. Both obstacles are thankfully overshadowed by a twisting plot that comes together beautifully at the end. The clues are there, scattered within the movie, and the sense of tension and dread masterfully climbs until the end.
I am not a big fan of remaking movies... but give this script a better budget and it could be amazing.
