This is a movie about a bored scholarly man, facing his mid-life crisis, divorces his wife and throws himself into the arms of a pretty young babe after an impossible mission. I have always fancied Ewan McGregor but he has no appeal to me at all in this film.
If not for the hilarious British humor and Kristin Scott Thomas (she is truly the saving grace!), I would probably downgrade it to just one-star.
