Review of Salinger (2013) by John C — 30 Sep 2013
This is a decent documentary about a recluse author. While it is a tad too long, I was immersed about knowing more about this author----I did not realize that he wrote a lot of short stories, yet it was a shame after one attempt to make one of his works into a movie, he did not trust Hollywood to make his best known work, "Catcher in the Rye" into a feature film.
But now I am interested in reading this book. As for the man himself, his isolation costed him human contact. This is a fine film that should have been tighter with its time.
