Review of Saints and Soldiers (2003) by Don S — 20 Jul 2011
This is a war movie where the characters have depth and growth, unlike many where they are basically caricatures. There are some religious aspects to the film (it was made by a group of Mormons), however you are not hit over the head with it and can enjoy it regardless of your beliefs. Accurate portrayal of war like consequences, decent acting by largely unknowns, and an involving (though slightly unbelievable, even for one based on a true events) story line make this one to see.
