Review of Saint John of Las Vegas (2010) by David Ray G — 08 Jul 2010
I'm having a relatively hard time reviewing this movie because I'm not quite sure what I watched or how it's successfully related to Dante's Inferno as it claims to be.
The cast is compiled by great actors (who doesn't just adore Steve Buscemi?) and there are moments in it that are nice (I loved the whole smiley faces thing), but the "funny" scenes means that you smile mechanically because you are wondering whether or not there was something there that you're supposed to laugh at.
The plot is rather aimless and goes all around, exploding into a big mess. I had a difficult time following it and I was forcing myself to stop thinking of irrelevant, random things while watching it. I simply saw no point in it, and really, was there any?
