"Safety Not Guaranteed" is a unique and entertaining viewing experience. An independent take on the concept of time-travel, this film is very well made.

When three Seattle magazine writers set out to do a story on a strange classified ad about time travel, they discover Kenneth (Mark Duplass), who is looking for a partner to join him on his journey. Although the aspirations of Kenneth are obviously hard to believe, Darius (Aubrey Plaza) starts to wonder if there may be some truth behind his claims.

This film is appealing because it's something original that is executed well. It has that excellent independent vibe, and the quirky, low-budget feeling adds to the overall appeal. Aubrey Plaza, who I usually find to be slightly annoying, is fantastic in this movie. Mark Duplass also does an outstanding job in the role of Kenneth. The last 15 minutes do feel a bit clustered and all over the place, but the ending will leave you thinking and surely warrants multiple viewings. 4 stars.
