Review of Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) by Adam F — 26 Mar 2013
Once "Safety Not Guaranteed" gets going it will sweep you up and keep you entertained all the way through. The characters are rich and well written to the point that even the film's sub plots will have all of your attention.
You won't be able to wait and see what happens next when all of a sudden it will switch to another set of characters and you'll be thrilled to see another of the side characters get their time on the screen.
It's funny with just the right amount of bittersweetness that will keep you questioning wether the ad in question is a joke, a cry for help, the real deal or something completely different. It's full of surprises and it wraps itself up so perfectly you'll leave in a terrific mood.
"Safety Not Guaranteed" is one of those hidden gems that you can feel free to just pick up and watch anytime and it'll totally brighten up your day. (Dvd, December 26, 2012)(5 stars, theatrical version, August 14, 2012).
