A small unexpectedly charming film. Being a fan of Aubrey Plaza may have initially sparked my interest but this film offers much more. The gentle pace and slow percolating story could have used a little more fleshing out in certain characters & actors but that's a minor quibble.
A nice fact is that in it's offbeat charm it generally avoids heavy handedness or schmaltz. Aubrey Plaza seems to be doing her tv role demeanor here too but I like it. She may be one note but it's a slyly humorous one.
it's been a while since I've liked a film..Small in scope, larger in heart. Endearingly fresh. A minor victory.
