Review of Safe House (2012) by Denise J — 11 Sep 2012

Better than I thought actually all be it familiar ground for Denzel Washington, playing a conflicted, confident tough guy. But surprisingly Ryan Reynolds helps Denzel carry the film, boosted by a very clear character arc.

It gives him an opportunity to do a film without manifesting a joke to let us know it's still him. I was impressed with his performance and look forward to seeing him improve and do a better, "less safe" film.

It's a serious action flick which will probably be on channel 4 soon, (Watch if you liked 'The Kingdom' or 'Bourne Films').
