Review of Safe Haven (2013) by Marischa B — 07 Jun 2013
Okay, so I won't add any spoilers. However, the so called crazy twist ending fit very cleanly with the foreshadowing going on in this movie. You will know what I am talking about when you watch it. So, don't let someone discourage you from seeing it because of this rumored terrible ending. That's what happened to me, and when I watched it I loved it. It made me cry, not in a sad way but in a bittersweet way. Just watch it for yourself before writing it off.
It is a little abnormal, but nothing that is weird or bad. So, watch it and enjoy :) I really did love the character of josh (Alex's son) because of how he grows. Katie also was an amazing character and I believe that she was perfectly cast beside josh. I mean it is right up there with the lucky one for me, which I also enjoyed. And I admit he isn't Ryan gosling in the notebook, but he isn't supposed to be. He is just who he needs to be in this movie and goes together well with Julianne.
