Review of Safe Haven (2013) by Anna I — 16 Jun 2013

I haven't posted a movie review in quite a while and I have a whole list to get going on. I watched Safe Haven last night. First...I know Julianne Hough is like 25, but she just looks so young! I had trouble with her casting as a woman who is escaping her past, just based on her young age.

Equally, Josh Duhammel is like 41 and this 16 year age difference seemed extreme to me. He was a solid cast, but she just didn't seem mature enough to hold down this role. Aside from the casting of Julianne I really liked the movie.

It was interesting and entertaining with some great surprise twists. The ending especially!! Pretty typical Nicholas Sparks, but at least I knew what I was getting into.
