Review of Safe Haven (2013) by Calvin C — 26 Sep 2013
I think Nicholas Sparks' stories are getting more drab and it shows in the adaptations. His latest novel to be turned into a movie plays like a Lifetime movie of the week with a twist ending that comes out of nowhere and is only there for an emotional pull. There isn't anything wrong with Josh Duhamel or Julianne Hough. It's just that the story is bland and Cobie Smulders' character is a waste of time, despite her true purpose. You see one Sparks movie, you've seen them all.
Grade: C.
