Review of Safe Haven (2013) by Adrian Z — 19 Oct 2013
A young woman seems to be on the run from the cops, and seeks refuge in a small local town, where she begins a romantic affair with a widowed father of two. Bland TV-movie-of-the-week type thriller, but Duhamel and Hough are likeable leads, as are the kids, which makes it palatable.
Alas, not palatable enough to help it overcome the film's final revelation, which brings to mind a certain twist from a famous Bruce Willis movie, and is just plain stupid in the context of this film.
