Review of Safe Haven (2013) by Moya W — 09 May 2013
Safe Haven wasn't as much of a tearjerker as the other movies based on Nicholas Sparks' novels. I liked the main storyline of this movie, and I'd really looked forward to see it, but basically the movie is just a really long end or a really long middle, can't really decide which one. But basically it never really got going and you kept waiting for the excitement to start kicking in.
It was a bit of a disappointment to be honest. It had a few gooey romantic parts that made your heart melt and it had a few parts that made you think but mainly those parts just ended up confusing you in the end anyway.
It felt like this movie missed out on what was really important with it and focused on something else instead, which is a shame. Not a movie to watch more than once. But might be enjoyed the first time at least.
