Like all of Todd Haynes' films the production design and art direction are top notch. Also, like all of Todd Haynes' films there is a major sense of "huh?" after the first viewing. Is this blatant social commentary, or far fetched psychological horror? Much to read between the lines here.
Fascinating as well as challenging.
