Review of Sadgati (1981) by Jared M — 14 Sep 2008
One of the biggest movies to incite fear into those wishing to go camping. I know some people that are one step away from being hillbillies like in the film so I find the events that take place more terrifying than before I lived in the south.
Almost on the level of The Deer Hunter in terms of friends recovering from traumatic events, but nowhere near as powerful. Still great, but the lack of character development made it hard to really sympathize at times.
The relationships between the men werent seen enough and it was perplexing as to why certain men werent as effected by their friends' death simply because we had no clue how well each knew each other prior to this trip.
It's still a great movie with a memorable performance by John voight.Just be prepared to pucker your butthole before watching.
