Review of Sadgati (1981) by Zack F — 18 Feb 2010
One of the few films that can depict deep South/Appalachia realistically. It's setting is perfect, and the acting is superb. What this film lacks is something to make it interesting; it's much too short and the plot is essentially boring.
I was honestly wanting to just get up and turn it off and go do something else. But, I suppose it makes up for that by having such iconic scenes like the "Squeal Like a Pig, boy!" one. All in all a pretty good movie but it probably looks better as a script.
