Review of Sabotage (2014) by Camille L — 06 May 2014
Sabotage is your typical run-of-the-mill action revenge film pitting DEA agents against drug cartel gangs. The plot is convoluted, tiresome and very unoriginal but still manages to keep you.
Interested. The acting is sub-par to put it lightly. Arnold Schwarzenegger still can't act despite looking very worn and tired in this film, a look we don't see him in too often. Despite a total change in tonal features, he still can't seem to elevate his performance to the likes of his other co-stars. Sam Worthington is pretty good in this movie, giving a better performance here than he.
Has in any film. Merille Enos was also very good in this, playing a character I've never seen her in before. A crazy, out of control, bad ass woman firing guns bigger than her. To be honest, she.
Actually pulled it off better than most of the men in the film. The rest of the cast fails to provoke any second thoughts about them which is frustrating especially during some of their death scenes. Overall, the storyline is poorly written, the twists are hard to wrap your head around but what saves Sabotage from being a complete washout is the insane shootouts and other action.
Sequences. If you're looking for a mindless action film with no substance, Sabotage is your ticket. It's not necessarily a film you'd want to run to the theater, even though it not not play in.
Montreal which is to bad I would I like to see this on a big screen but it is a film definitely worth a rental. 6/10.
