Short review:
It is horrible to see a man like Robin Williams take such a miss step when you know he deserves so much better then this.
This is not the first one and most likely not the last one. Obviously he has his good moments in this film I mean he's Robin Williams so he doesn't completely disappoint.
R.V is maybe not a really bad film, actually I was expecting something much worse but still this is a step down obviously. I mean of course there comes a time when you need money but Robin Williams must be getting better offers (we want more films like The Worlds Greatest Dad!).
The movie is a one big cliche and it often hurts physically to watch the events unfold. She's predictable and uninteresting in nearly every way and for the most part, not very funny. The only thing that keeps the movie somewhat entertaining is the man himself Robin Williams. He still has that old charm but in this film he obviously doesn't get to shine like in his other projects.
Barry Sonnenfels has also had better and funnier days. I mean the movie could have been worse but for me it's just another American cliche-truck we have gone on so many times.
