If you are looking for a deep storyline and memorable characters, you've made a wrong turn. But if you want some light-hearted comedy with a generally positive message (or if you are a Broadway fan and want to see Galinda of "Wicked!" performing onscreen), you're in the right place!
Personally, I didn't like it very much. The story was trite, the characters were stock, and WAY too many "poop" jokes for my taste. That being said, there is no major reason I can think of why any kid shouldn't watch this movie. Mild, mild, mild violence and a few allusions, but clean overall.
Still, I don't think it memorable enough to watch twice.
