Review of Ruthless People (1986) by Jared C — 30 Oct 2010
The film is torturing ridiculous, but it has a good plot to it. Danny DeVito does a good job as the weak and yet wicked husband who wants to get rid of his wife so badly. Bette Midler on the other hand is funny as his wife who tends t worry about her figure too much.
As for the couple played by Judge Reinhold's convincing kidnapper and his tear jerking and over sensitive wife Helen Slater are good. The plot is at times outrageously ridiculous, but it is funny at times and if you can sit and enjoy it all good on you.
