Review of Rust and Bone (2012) by Willard W — 09 Dec 2012
An excellent combination of actors and story that, together with immersive directing, subtly nuanced performances and stunning cinematography, make for a superbly unexpected and wonderful encounter. Reminds me of why I've always loved French cinema; bold and unusual.
You want the same old same old, you might best look elsewhere. Perhaps best exemplified by the unexpected John Cooper Clarke chiming in with his Lanky inflected obloquy; this whole thing is nothing short of transcendental.
