Review of Rust and Bone (2012) by Tom H — 08 Mar 2013
This film didn't do much for me. It's too close to melodrama and exploits it shamelessly. The acting is OK, but the story line (and how it gets lost in sundry side threads) prevents you from creating an emotional bond or identifying with the characters.
It is as if the main characters are not given enough time with each other. On the whole, it is an Interesting premise, indeed, but unsatisfactory and very improbable in its execution especially at the end.
