Review of Rust and Bone (2012) by Linda H — 22 Apr 2013
It's shots are incredible, many shots are took in character's point of view, with lights behind, hopes...
Jacques Audiard accurately catches the point of a woman struggling to get her "legs" back; and a man trying to figure out his life.
Marion Cotillard has give a great performance here. But in some shots, she just look too beautiful.
Matthias Schoenaerts is a beast, a lost beast with a son. He just look so empty that I'll have problem imagining his real person in reality.
Despite all the good, the script has too many little plots that pull the main story away.
