Review of Rust and Bone (2012) by Eugene B — 21 May 2013
The main problem I had with the film is that the film seems to be structured with two stories that interweave and connect- one being with Cotillard's character coping with the loss of her legs and how she copes with it, and the other being how the Father gets into the world of underground fighting.
I personally found the former story more interesting, and when they start to turn to the underground fighting story, I wasn't as interested. but the film as a whole works, although it has a few clunky moments.
