It wasn't as great as I had hoped it would be. It's as though it wants to be artsy but can't quite get there. The problem perhaps lies in the fact that the 'insight' given in the movie wasn't all that insightful.
Besides that, the end, where he actually references the Russian Dolls title seems to be a bit of a stretch considering his story wasn't really about all the women...but more about his relationships with his friends.
