Review of Russian Dolls (2005) by Jérôme M — 31 Aug 2008
After inevitably getting attached to the Characters of Pot Luck, you will like to follow the sequel. Where are they 5 years later? They have made their post-studies choices, they are maybe lost trying to fix post-relationships scarves, still desperate to continue the excitement of being single.
.. Here we focus even more on the main character Xavier (and probably too much). It would have been great to hear and see a bit more of the other characters. And maybe a story a bit stronger. First part of the movie manages to repeat successfully to represent this generation's developments, but then it all gets a bit lost somewhere between Russia and Paris.
Worth watching anyway, but it is not a blast.
