Review of Russian Ark (2002) by Alexander J — 07 Aug 2007
Very unusual. No movie in the common sense. 90 minutes straight. No cuts. Yes, you're right. No cuts. One take. And we visit the Hermitage, a famous museum/arts building in Saint Petersburg, going through 300 years of Russian history.
Astonishing looks and even more astonishing costumes. Beautiful. Different. Wonderful. Like looking at a moving painting.
