Yes - I can say I am an ignorant about Russian history and would probably have enjoyed this one more if I were more knowledgeble. But from a direction perspective - this is INCREDIBLE. No edits, not cuts, beautifully done.
It takes you to so many different worlds and it flows smoothly. If you are into direction of movies, a must see.
