A beautiful telling of Russian history, as well as an impression of how Russians were viewed by Europeans and vice versa, through the eyes of a Russian. As the doco on the DVD says, the building tells the story and is the protaganist.
If you are not interested in (Russian) history/culture, art or cinematic techniques then you'd probably be best to hire a popcorn film instead - but if you let yourself be immmersed in this journey, it is definitely worth it!!!
