Review of Russian Ark (2002) by Andrew C — 03 May 2008
Funny that the last two movie I have reviewed take place in a museum...I give th is five star because it needs to be seen. It isn't one of the best movies ever, but it is a triumph in filmmaking as it is made up of one single continuous shot.
It is pretty much a long history lesson, some times interesting, sometimes boring. It worth seeing just to see how far we have come in cinema, and specifically the technology. Don't go in expecting an interesting plot, great acting, or a compelling story, just go in prepared to be astounded, I sure was.
