Review of Rushmore (1998) by Angela M — 28 Dec 2010
Wes Anderson crafted a beautifully poignant comedy about the most ignorant genius the world has ever seen. The character of Max Fisher is hilariously portrayed by Jason Schwartzman and he pulls off slowly turning this seemingly one-dimensional buffoon into someone you not only empathize with, but start to connect with and understand his plight.
Certainly better than your run of the mill teen coming of age story and the eccentric performance from master of quirky comedy Bill Murray doesn't hurt the film by any means.
