Review of Rushmore (1998) by Paul K — 17 Aug 2010
My first Wes Anderson experience was nothing special. While this film was watchable, it was very very bland. I have no idea what type of film this was supposed to be and overall found myself hating most of the cast.
My dislike was strongest for the protagonist Max Fischer who I wished harm would find him in the film, but sadly was disappointed. Bill Murray was average at best, which is a disappointment due to some of his previous better works.
The writing was decent and the directing was solid but overall the film was nothing special.
