Review of Rushmore (1998) by Danny D — 16 May 2012
Wes Anderson writes and directs this cult favorite film Rushmore. This movie is about a teenage student who falls in love with a beautiful young 1st grade teacher who arrives at his school. This student than turns to the father of two of his school-mates Herman Blume played by Bill Murray, for his help on how to woo the teacher.
However the situation soon gets complicated when his friend Herman gets involved with the teacher. When that happens these two very different friends are set against each other. Jason Schwartzman plays the student, Max Fischer and Bill Murray of course plays his friend and the two of them in this movie are both awesome.
This movie Rushmore is a complete hit and it's not just because of Wes Anderson it's also because of those two actors. Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray are great in this movie, there acting was very well done and there both funny as hell.
When everyone said this movie was incredible I didn't know what to think, but now after actually watching this movie I agree with them this movie is incredible. Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson wrote a terrific script and Wes Anderson did an amazing job directing this movie.
I know for sure this movie Rushmore will be a classic.
