Review of Rushmore (1998) by D J — 24 May 2012
What could have been a fantastic film turns into a tedious and tiresome journey into nothingness. Schwartzman pulls out all the stops but is let down by the pretty pointless rendition of a possibly fine story.
This is the second Wes Anderson movie I have seen and this is the second time I've been sorely let down. Anderson said he himself could not watch his movies in one sitting and I confess I feel the same - my boredom threshold could not withstand it.
