Review of Rushmore (1998) by Keaton B — 30 Jun 2012
Many critique Anderson of repetition, but I would say that he has honed his own style of telling great stories and constructing real, believable characters. This film is a great introduction to the style which he has been working with over the past decade.
It makes the best of young naivete, angst, romantic longings, and even a mid-life crisis. The clever and awkward humor does as much to move the plot as the drama.
